I earned my Undergraduate Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2010. I received a Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) for cancer and immunology research at Lineberger Cancer Center. The topics of my research include:
FoxP3 levels affecting Graft vs. Host Disease (GVHD) post Bone Transplantation (clinical)

I received my Master in Public Health from Liberty University in 2016 while working at Duke Microbiology Laboratory. My capstone project was on administering influenza vaccination to patients who were receiving services at a local food pantry.
I received my Doctorate of Clinical Laboratory Science from Kansas University Medical Center in 2024. The role of the DCLS is to assist providers in selecting the appropriate test, ensuring appropriate specimen collection and assisting providers in test interpretation and educating patients. My research includes rapid Whole Genome Sequencing, Massive Transfusion Protocol Utilization and Utility of BioFire's GI panel.
In 2020, my husband and I opened our first pharmacy: Life Well Pharmacy in East Tennessee. Life Well Pharmacy aims to treat all patients like family. We offer CLIA-waived, Point-of-Care laboratory tests for everything from COVID, Strep, STD to urinalysis and glucose monitoring.
I have given a number of PACE presentations to laboratory professionals as well as lectures to patients.
